Kindergarten and Elementary

Our lower school follows a modified A Beka curriculum, a well-known and nationally recognized Christian program.   Bible classes use either Positive Action for Christ, A Beka or ACSI.  We use The King James Version of the Bible for all Bible recitation and classroom work.  Other versions, such as the NIV are used for interpretation. We offer a full complement of courses in our program from the "Basics" of reading, writing and arithmetic, to computer, art, music, and physical education.  Our reading program is phonics based.  Each year our students participate in a school science fair, with individual competition beginning in the third grade.  Students through the sixth grade also perform in two musical productions each year.  Our student's academic progress is measured annually using the Stanford Achievement Test, one of the nationally recognized standardized tests.

Resource options are available for an additional fee, for students requiring remediation.  A list of approved tutors may be obtained from the school office.

KCA's middle school offers several unique opportunities.  Students in grades 6 through 8 participate in an annual three-day Creation Camp at Black-Rock Retreat located near beautiful Lancaster, PA.  Students participate in three different levels of hands-on activities experiencing God's nature through Science experiments and other events.  The trips biggest highlight is the night walk, done in complete natural light.  Parent chaperones are welcome to come along on this very memorable trip.

Middle schoolers also may participate on the Volleyball, Basketball, and Track teams.  Other middle school activities include drama workshop, class chapels, speech contest for the Fall County Fair, field trips to the local planetarium or Washington D.C.  Middle Schoolers will not want to miss Counter the Culture Weekend, Middle School Wreck Nights (recreation and game nights), and other class parties.
