Volunteer Opportunities

In our mission to partner with parents to provide a Christ-centered education for children, we strive to keep tuition affordable.  The King's Christian Academy is blessed with a multitude of talented and helpful parents who assist us in a number of school events and activities.

Annual Autumn Auction

Our annual fall auction is KCA's main fundraiser.  Many volunteers are needed in September and October (prior to the event) for soliciting, collecting, and transporting donations.  Volunteers are also needed the day of the event.

Booster Club

Our Booster Club helps support our athletic program.  Volunteers are needed to help sell spirit wear and food during sports events held at the school.

County Fair Exhibit

Each year The King's Christian Academy sets up an exhibit at the County Fair in September.  A volunteer is needed to coordinate this project by gathering project from the school that have been collected from students to put on display, labeling these items, taking and arranging these items at the fairground the week of the fair, and picking the items up after the fair,

  • Volunteer to go with your child's class

Science Fair

Parents are needed to hep judge projects in December for the middle school and in March for the elementary school.

Classroom

  • Room Parent - Parents coordinate special events for the class, communicate with the Director of Development, and coordinate teacher appreciation efforts.  Room parents work closely with each teacher or homeroom teacher as needed.
  • Classroom copier
  • Parent Reader - Parent who are willing to come in to the classroom to read to the students for up to one hour a week.
  • Art Class - Assist children/art teacher with projects (Grade:  Kindergarten - 5th grade)
  • Computer Class Volunteer:  Assist children/teacher with PC's (Grades:  Kindergarten - 3rd grade)
  • PE Class:  Assist children/PE teacher with class

Junior Achievement

Share how businesses operate by volunteering in classrooms presenting Junior Achievement.  All materials are provided and takes about one hour a week.

Open House

Open houses are held throughout the school year to provide a time for prospective families and students to tour the school.

Bookstore

Volunteers are needed from 8:30 - 9:00 (before school) and 11:30 - 12:30 (during lunch) to work in the bookstore assisting students who wish to make purchases.

Box Top for Education and Campbell's Labels

A Volunteer willing to help collect, count and mail in box tops and lables for redemption.

Spring Fundraiser Carnival

Volunteers are needed to help set up, assist with events, help serve lunch.

Lunchroom

  • Volunteers are needed towork forty-five minute shifts every day between 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 a.m.  Lunchroom volunteers will help serve hot lunches, sell milk, and help oversee outside play time.  Volunteers are needed each day and substitutes are needed in emergencies.  Faculy and staff are in charge of lunchroom and maintain discipline at all time.
  • Volunteers are also needed to  count and tabulate Hot Lunch Order Forms on Friday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00 am.

Library

Volunteers are needed to help shelve books, check out books, processing books, filing, inventory, etc.  No experience is needed and any time slot would be helpful. 

Office

  • Office Help - Photocopying, collating, filimg, typing, stuffing envelopes
  • In Touch on Wednesdays - copies, collating, and distribution
