Community Service
KCA requires a total of 100 hours of community service to be completed for graduation. We suggest 25 hours per year. While some hours may be accumulated during approved school activities they are usually not enough to cover the entire year's requirement. Vacation Bible School and missions trips are acceptable. Please keep track of the hours worked, not length of the trip.
Local College/Scholarship Fairs
There is a a college fair held each fall at the Hollywood Fire Department ----- Check back for dates and times.
BECA holds its annual scholarship fair at the Dr. James Forrest Career and Technology Center in Leonardtown ---- January 20, 2010 - 4:00 - 7:00 PM
BECA Application is available at www.smcbeca.org.
www.fastweb.com is an excellent source ofscholarships. Each student opens an account, no charge, and personalizes search crigeria from which scholarships and addresses are forwarded to you. The process can be started at any time and is strongly encouraged to begin prior to their senior year. Another source is to go to an internet search engine and type in "scholarships." Throughout the year other scholarships are distributed to students as they are sent to the school.
