Please be advised that the application process for a Maryland Work Permit is now online. The process will work in the following manner:
TO THE MINOR:
If you want to get a job in Maryland and you are a minor 14 to 17 years old you need a Minor Work Permit.
Go to this website: www.dllr.state.md.us; scroll down to the QUICK LINKS section and click on the link for the MINOR WORK PERMIT . Follow the instructions found in the column on the left entitled INSTRUCTIONS – MINOR. This information is also noted below:
1. Print a hard copy Work Permit Application -
2. Complete the "To the Minor" section.
3. Have your employer complete and sign the "To the Employer" section.
4. Have your parent or guardian sign and date our application after they review it.
5. Fill out the Online Application completely using the data collected on the hard copy application. (This is the parent/minor ‘s responsibility)
6. Follow Directions on the Application Receipt.
